Our crew’s favorite Dubstep DJ, Mayhem, puts his unique twist on 8Ball & MJG’s track, Ten Toes Down. I love listening to his live sets, because he always finds a great way to incorporate some Dirty South flavor into them; as you can tell from this remix.

This is ridiculous! Madsteez completed this mural in 6 days. I’ve painted many-a-mural, and it’s not easy. The piece spans 80ft x 30ft and is on the rooftop of the Ricardo Montalban Theater on Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles. I want to see how he planned this feat!

North Carolina’s, Stranger Day, brings us a new track in collaboration with Chicago’s British Knights. I’m a huge fan of this song and his new visual identity. Check out that Padre’s inspired SD! I’m looking forward to hearing more from this project (if there is anything else to hear). It’s always encouraging to see a friend put themselves out there in a major way.
Word on the street is that Stranger Day might be making an ATL appearance very soon…

The World Cup is 101 days away, and Nike has finally revealed what their teams will be wearing in the tournament. One of the most interesting things about these new kits is that Nike’s Considered innovations are in each kit, as they are made from recycled plastic bottles. Each kit contains up to 8 bottles worth of recycled plastic.

Fem-fATL.com writer, Jenifer Vandagriff (@jeniferv), sent us this pic of herself modeling her Process Bombera Scarf via Twitter.
She says, “u cant really tell but i went tube top with it”.
Yes, our uber-scarf is versatile and large enough to wear by itself. Available at WeAreTheProcess.com.

Rehab’s new single, Welcome Home, hits iTunes today. I had the privilege to lead a team of designers (my Entertainment Design class at Portfolio Center) on some early concepts for the artwork to accompany this single. We ultimately arrived at this finished artwork after consulting with the band. It’s an photo of Danny (Rehab’s lead vocalist) as a kid and his grandfather in their Air Force jumpsuits. It’s a very personal moment in his life that he’s opening up and sharing to the rest of the world. Download the single on iTunes here.

I’m not really sure what this is all about, but this framed photo was dropped off at Black Sheep in Charlotte on Friday. Was it for an art show, or a tribute to the Sheep and Process? It’s pretty cool either way…
Today, Ross and I played a friendly match of soccer (football) on PS3. Netherlands v. Hamburger SV on FIFA 10. After this spin move, Ross decided he didn’t want to play against me for the rest of the afternoon. I love being able to take an afternoon off to grab lunch with a good friend and kick his butt at some FIFA.

Nike Sportswear has teamed up with 6 emerging artists from 6 countries and have given them the design liberty to create alternative National Team Kits that flip the script on the classic football kit. In order to accomplish this, the Nike team asked artists contribute a badge, mascot, print and an alphabet in their handwriting style. I’m very pleased with their selection of Mr. Cartoon to represent the U.S. as I have nothing but respect for his work.
Check out the rest of the pieces, including an awesome eagle illustration of his after the jump. Read more »

Kanye West posted the Cyhi Da Prynce - Studda & I’m 100 video on his blog today… a little behind the curve this time, Kanye! ATL is strong. Start paying attention, sir.

Whenever the weather warms up, we’ll be releasing a new collection for Spring. We’ll also be celebrating our 1st Anniversary next month! Stay tuned for more details… If you want to get involved, hit us up at info@wearetheprocess.com.
Nike’s new short film, Human Chain, celebrates the intensity, dynamism and determination that connects athletes in all sports and motivates them to inspiring performances.
From Lance Armstrong on his bike, to a six-year-old studying martial arts, movement is the universal language that connects the athlete in everyone.
This is a simple visual idea executed with precision by Wieden+Kennedy; a creative agency I’ve always dreamed of working with. W+K, holler at EC sometime…

Initially, this seems like an odd pairing of one band covering another. Upon further thought, it kind of makes sense as well. Both bands have similar roots in the dub-reggae world, but they differ drastically at their approach to making music. To me, this Vampire Weekend cover is a lot weaker sounding than the original by Rancid, but it has it’s own moments. Thoughts?
Shouts to the Esperanza crew for the heads-up.
